IR LCD GM320 infrared thermometer
Infrared thermometer with a laser pointer and a "front sight" for better targeting. Well made, it lies confidently in the hand and doesn't give the impression of a cheap Chinese toy. This is how the measuring device could be briefly described.
The thermometer arrives in a box. Inside, it is put in a bubble wrap along with instructions. Batteries not included. 2x small AAA sticks are required to function.
The first launch, as you may have seen in the video, was a bit of a problem for me. The thermometer started beeping and responded to nothing. I don't know why, but it wouldn't happen, while inserting the battery, keep the trigger pressed, then everything works as it should.
When turned on, the thermometer turns off very quickly. All it takes is a few seconds of inactivity. Good because it saves the battery, bad because it is too fast and sometimes the result cannot be read. Rather, the manual on / off button is missing here.
As for the buttons, there are three here.
- Responsible for turning on the laser pointer
- Responsible for the backlight of the LCD screen
- Responsible for changing the temperature unit
After switching on, we have a few icons on the display, as I showed in the movie.
- HOLD - the device shows the last measurement, it does not measure
- SCAN - the device performs a measurement
- Triangle with circle - laser pointer on
- Light bulb - backlight on
- Unit in which we measure
- Current measurement result
- Battery - this icon appears when the battery is low
The operation is very simple, although some may be frightening. It all comes down to locating and reading. Nothing else needs to be set. We aim either with a sight like in a firearm, or with a laser.
Unfortunately, the measurements are not 100% accurate, which was also seen in the video during the tea test. Although the instructions say that the measurements may be incorrect depending on the plane we are testing, but in the case of leather the temperature is also not correct. Measuring my forehead I was 34 degrees. Either I am dying or, however, these measurements should not be taken literally. Depending on the distance, the differences are greater. The best measurements are from centimeter to 30 cm, as described in the manual. The difference is then only 2 - 4 * C. From a distance of 1,5 m, it reaches even about 15 ° C
